Floral Creations St Austell

Having always loved and played around with flowers I recently retrained gaining my level 2 & 3 floristry qualifications. My work experience was in a local florist shop for busy periods over 2 years. Loving it, and unable to secure a position as they are so hard to come by, I decided to start my own business. At present I am studying for my Level 4 qualification with the Academy of Floral Art. With the academy I was part of a team winning a gold medal at Hampton Court in July 2014. Chelsea is my dream. Maybe one day I can find a sponsor.
My inspiration for my designs come from well-known designers like Gregor Lersch; Rob Plattel; Liz and Claire Cowling; Per Benjamin; Stijn Simayes; Bruno Duarte; Solomon Leong just to name a few. It is not only well known designers that give me inspiration I find it from attending flower shows like Oxford, the World Flower show in Dublin 2014 and local flower clubs.
The flowers that I like to use are seasonal, and where possible I support Cornish and British suppliers. However, I also like to use international flowers where I support another local business. I can make and design eco friendly.
My style. This is quite hard to define because I like to make so many. Another problem is how I would call one design vintage and a customer call it Chabby Chic. It really does depend on the customers choice of flower, style and design.
